We offer both workplace mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution as a service to clients.
In our experience there are many instances when disputes between individuals or even between departments are best solved through a process of mediation.
Hostility between team members (whether at Board or Project level) can seriously disrupt an organisation's strategy and execution. Disputes involving allegations of bullying, sexism or racism can quickly escalate into formal disciplinary actions and even civil litigation.
Each of these instances can be resolved by mediation; quickly and inexpensively.
Certainly misunderstandings, hurt and clashing vested interests can be solved through the separate coaching of the individuals concerned, but when a hostile relationship is disrupting the organisation then swifter action is needed.
In this sort of instance, we would enter into a mediation process with the two individuals, during which we work with both parties to clarify issues, communication, perceived wrongdoings and hurts. Most important, we find, each gets to 'be heard' in an atmosphere of respect.
Workplace Mediation normally takes around half a day excluding preparation and briefing time.
